Introduction to Databases

This course will explore SpatiaLite databases and Geodatabases. SpatiaLite is an SQLite database with a spatial extension for vector functionality. A SpatiaLite database is a single lightweight and portable relational database system that can run on multiple operating systems. The geodatabase is a centralized relational database for layers of spatial data, related datasets and behaviors. The geodatabase is a proprietary file format built and supported by Esri.
