OpenLayers Quickstart: First Web Map
In this course we will introduce you to OpenLayers. OpenLayers is an open source JavaScript library for displaying map data in web browsers as interactive or slippy maps. OpenLayers has an extensive API for building rich web-based geographic applications. We will examine the HTML behind OpenLayers and walk you through building your first OpenLayers map.
In order to follow the tutorials on building web maps with OpenLayers you will need to be able to view HTML files as web pages and edit text files with a text editor such as Notepad++.
